Katherine Schoon is a vigilant and dedicated litigator who will fight for you or your company. She specializes in all forms of litigation, including construction, mechanics liens, breach of contract, employment disputes, fraud, professional negligence, Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (IDFPR) issues, arbitrations and mediations. No matter how big or small your issue is, Katherine will take the 


time to explain your options and get results. Katherine, an 11 year veteran of the Cook County State's Attorney office, has extensive trial experience having performed hundreds of bench and jury trials in both the civil and criminal arenas. 

Katherine is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in Political Science, and obtained her law degree from UCLA School of Law. Ms. Schoon is a licensed Illinois attorney since 2007, who appears in both State and Federal Court and is admitted to the Federal Trial Bar.


While not in court, Katherine enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in Hinsdale. Katherine is a board member of the Hinsdale Junior Women's Club (HJWC), enjoys running and yoga, and has participated in marathon fundraising programs for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Old St. Pat's Catholic Charities.
